My strength is working with individuals and families who have experience severe trauma. Trauma of war, catastrophic accident, sexual abuse, violence and other events that leave on indelible mark. Helping a person move beyond these events and live again is my joy.

EXPERIENCE 

FAIR Girls, Washington, DC, December, 2015 – Present 

Case Manager and Court Advocate for a non-profit organization that provides case management, supportive counseling, safe house and group for women who have been exploited through trafficking and domestic violence. • Facilitate different groups for clients; self-care groups, support groups, and financial literacy groups. • Organize meetings for the safe house. • Case management; assisting clients in getting resources for housing, medical, attorneys, social security benefits and other needs necessary. • One-on-one clinical work with clients with history of domestic violence and human trafficking.  • Supporting clients in court and advocating when needed in court cases. • Going to courts to collaborate with law enforcement to gain knowledge on defining trafficking. • Staying at the safe house as a residential counselor once a month. • Supervising the residential counselor for two weeks every month. 

 Sheridan School, Washington DC, June, 2014 – August, 2015   Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs and Girl's Group Facilitator at a non-profit independent School that serve Grades K-8 th. • Experience in responsive classroom techniques. Program Coordinator to the Creative Arts and Summer Adventure (CASA) camp at the Sheridan School during the summer.  • During the school year managing and creating the schedules of the after school teachers and their after school activities. Organizing and running all of the field trips and events that are coordinated with after school, activities: The Mini-Arts Festivals, Sheridan Open House, Parent/Teacher Conferences and Piano Recitals. • Worked with children ranging from 5 years of age to 13 years of age. • Facilitated a girl’s group, where the children could have a safe place to communicate. • Facilitated positive communication skills, social skills, and healthy relationships with the girl’s group.
